Project Kashmir-Anaconda Reports

Many thanks to Kashmir first who provided data of his report
run on 10/19/2003.

I used this to build my numbers database and also a report.

Please note that Project Kashmir files are TSV meaning tab
separated values files whereas Project Anaconda generates Excel
CSV. Excel CSV are not normal CSV that people regularly create.

So if you have to read them in Java please use
http://ostermiller.org/utils/ExcelCSV.html
Ostermiller library to read the files in Java. This is the
library Project Anaconda uses to read write data files.

The advantage is that Excel readily recognizes them as native
CSV files and opens em up directly. You can view them in any text
editor too.

So here is the first report from Project Kashmir- Anaconda
which was run by Kashmir and imported in to Anaconda.

I will be posting a second report today which was again a Kashmir scan imported in to Anaconda but missing the
approved cases so direct comparison will not be okay.

jokerpoker_us,

GREAT JOB! Absolutely terrific! First report I found easy to read without an advanced degree in Statistics! :)

I will delete this post after you see it, lets keep this thread clean with only posts relevant to the topic in it. Just wanted to thank you for a well done job!

Oh God! Why can't I open in my computer the file..

Plz help.....

BTW Kashmir what is ur filing date?

Second Report from Project Anaconda which was done in
the last couple of days. You can compare it against the
first report for progress.

Project Anaconda is taking some shape now. I have learnt
a lot. Project Anaconda still has bugs but they are minor
kinks that will get ironed out. Stay with me people. More is
coming soon.

The high number of unknowns might be due to a bug in
Project Anaconda. Some proxies fail in strange way producing
the unknown status. Since the current version of Anaconda
did not store all the data it is kind of hard to debug. But I am
fixing that right now to collaborate with kashmir to produce
another report tomorrow.

Additional Stats

Here is the net change from the previous report (11/03 and 12/19)
Approved/Completed 10
Transferred 705
RFE Received 113
RFE Sent 294
Resumed FP Received -1289
Fingerprint Sent -104
Received -286
Denied/Withdrawn 9
Misc 24
Unknown 524

A lot of approvals transitioned to 'unknown'. Joker may be missing a status (or has wrong status text) to compare.

On a broad basis, the number of cases that changed status is
1679 which would mean that BCIS is touching 35-40 cases per day.

Hello

Is there any way we can create similar statistics for the series WAC0309nnnnnn.

If I have to use any of the existing scripts, I would appreciate if someone can guide me as to how to go about using them. If there is a site which has listed all the steps to guide us, please kindly let me know.

Thanks for all your tireless noble efforts.

GOD BLESS!!!

Golu Molu.
This is a little involved process which requires you understanding
what you are doing. I think Kashmir posts the data for the 03
series. So look for project Kashmir.

Project Anaconda is just WAC 02 cases. Which I think is enough
for tracking current INS status.

In my second report I found the cause of Unknowns. There seems
to be a new status string for cards ordered which I do not detect.
So maybe most of the UNKNOWNS are just Approved and card
mailed cases.

Third Anaconda Report

Nothing new here people. This report was created probably a week after the second
one with Kashmir's help. But it does fix the relatively large unknowns problem that
plagued the second Anaconda report. So I am posting it here. This report has been
posted by kashmir already.

The fourth Report will run mid January when I get back from a vacation. In the
fourth report we will not scan cases which are done. By that I mean is that all
cases which are approved , card ordered, rejected or transferred are considered
done and will not be scanned in future. I have made the necessary change to
Project Anaconda.

However for the sake of keeping reports simple we will just carry them over.
This makes taking diff between reports very very easy as all reports have same
number of cases.

good signal?

desi-bartender ,

Does the name reflect who you really are? Didn't get.
Yes, it's new year. Happy new year to you and the forum.
I did see more approvals and 2nd FPs in the two days. Is it a good signal for a good round? Hope so! Also waiting for scan results to confirm.
