Hi I'm new here but I have an urgent need for help and guidance.

We emmigrated last June to BC. Our son aged 18 stayed for 3 months and then went back to the UK, now he wants to 'come home' and regrets going. Can anyone tell me if he will have difficulty in getting back into the country? He has his PR card with him.

No, you are required to reside 2 years in every 5 to maintain your PR status.

So you landed in Canada as PR in June 2004, right? If you did then your son will have no problem returning to Canada.

Like mentioned above to maintain PR status a PR has to stay in Canada for 2 years out of a total 5 years ( starting from the day you landed in Canada as PR).
