If EAD approval are current, then why some of the dec 02 EAD are still pending ?

I have not even received a receipt notice for ead renewal mailed in the last week of dec.

Only INS knows what those dates mean.

I think "current" means the date of the EAD application they took off their shelves is the date that the processing time report was generated. That still means that the applications may be sitting on the adjudicators' desks, or in some other queue, and it may take 30 days after that.
