Processing Time and CuriousGeorge

The folks on this forum have been successfully able to predict the new processing times. CuriousGeorge and others, please take this guesswork to next level. By knowing the pattern, we should be able to extrapolate and find the processing time for another six months.

After looking at the past data could anyone answer the following,

1. How often TSC (USCIS) publishes new dates?
2. By how many days the processing time moves?
3. Can we compile the past data and draw a graph to predict the dates for next 2 to 6 months?

If anyone who has already compiled this data then please put in this thread.

longGC,

Attached is TSC history of pending I-485 according to their official dates since 9/01.

Another worksheet shows goastros' membership file.

Attachment shows the histroy. I'll leave the future for others to predict :D

Thanks nfn with all your work. I just took a difference in dates of published time and plotted it against the time. The graph is attached here.

Please look at the two columns, 'Current Date' and 'Days Advanced'. From the graph it is clear that since Jan 15, 2004, there has been steady advance in dates that is uninterrupted. The number of days also advanced steadily reaching 36 in March 31, 2004, then it declined.

We hope that the trend continues and TSC makes an advance of 30 days for every 2 weeks passed.

let's see

some guesstimate:

publishing date processing date
30-Apr-2004 10/15/2001
15-May-2004 11/10/2001
31-May-2004 12/5/2001
15-Jun-2004 1/1/2002
30-Jun-2004 1/25/2002
15-Jul-2004 2/20/2002
31-Jul-2004 3/15/2002

If we extrapolate then we can hope that at this rate, TSC will move RD by two year a year from now.

At April 2005 the RD will be Sep 2003

and the RD will be 4 year, a 2 year from now. That is,

at April 2006 the RD will be Sep 2005

At that time they will be close to 180 days time limit promised many times earlier. But we hope that they maintain the smae pace.

Great work guys!

Hopefully TSC doesn't throw a fast ball at us and screw up the trend. After all we've been through with TSC, they could suddenly switch gears and start focusing on something else.
