processing LC And layoff

HI
FILED THE LC IN APRIL,2002
BUT THERE HAD BEEN LAYOFFS IN MY DEPARTMENT WITH CERTAIN REASONS...
I KNOW IT MUST BE A PROBLEM TO GET GOING WELL
IS THERE ANY POSSIBLITY TO GET APPROVAL???
ANYONE IS SAME SITUATION ..

Are layoffs in the same category as yours? meaning, if you filed for, say, IT, were other IT professionals laid off?

Are layoffs within 6 month you your filing LC?

How big is your company and what are the chanes DOL will know about the layoffs?
 
About 40 employees in my company, and the person got laid off was handling same kind of work as mine, but he was in different position, like junior(him) vs senior(me)...and he left around 8 month after my application was sent to DOL. The reason for his leaving was his skills and knowledge didn't meet our department's qualification, and his lateness was a big issue also.
Does it really matter when he's left? and how big my company is?
Do you think this is something I have to worry about? Do I really need to prepare for my back-up?
Please advise....
 
Was that a layoff or firing ? What was the reason that person got kicked out ! If because of his individual performance / reasons, there will be no effect on your LC...but if Layoff because of Company financial / budget / other reason then it will be difficult !
