Processing Dates

How accurate are the processing dates? It looks like several people with PD in January 05 at Dallas DO already have their interviews scheduled for April. (It took me more than five months just to get my Fingerprints taken in Norfolk!) But the USCIS website say Dallas is processing cases with PD April 2004.

What does "processing" mean? Are people with receipt notices with that date being notified of their interview dates or actually being interviewed (that's about a 2 month difference)?

The Dallas DO is processing dates for N400 applications with a receipt notice of April 15th 2004.

My dates are as follows for Dallas:

PD: January 3rd 2005
FD: February 1st 2005
Rcvd Interview Letter: March 2nd 2005
Interview: Early April 2005
Oath: ??

It is pretty apparant to me that the processing dates are off for Dallas - judging by my app, they are 9 months ahead of schedule.
