Processing date for I-485 at VSC

Any idea why the current CIS processing dates bulletin (released on August 3, 2006) for VSC does not show I-485 dates? What does that mean?

I believe since April 06 USCIS have only 2 centers for I-485 processing NSC and TSC. My file was sent to TSC from VSC. Hope this will answer your question.
Good luck to all.

probably since no visa nos are available until october, they might have removed it.

And the other centers did not? Where's the logic in that? And visa numbers are available for now.

Hi AZCAL:

what is your RD with VSC? Did you get a notice from VSC when they transferred your case to TSC. Was your case filed before 4/1/2006?
Has TSC assigned you a different case #? In what order are they processing your application: RD VSC date or transfer date to TSC?
Can you shed some details

Thanks

My case was received on 04/11/06 by VSC. I believe that the case received on April 06 and after will be routed to TSC and NSC according to my lawyer.
Hope this answer your question.
Good Luck to all!

VSC 485 processing dates

Our receipt date is 09/26/05 for 485/140 in VSC which were filied concurrently. I have not received any email for the case transferred to other centre and our 140 got approved today on 08/15/06 so VSC was working on our case. My wife is Physical Therapist and is under Schedule A category and we are not under retrogession and our category is Current so why would VSC not publish date for 485 and if they are not processing any more 485 than what happens to case that were already filed with them and which have not transferred to any other centre.

Any update will be appreciated.

Hi Hiroiz:

Due to bi specialization, VSC is not processing any new I 485 cases any more. regardless of retrogression, it is not sure, as to what VSC plans to do with I 485 cases which were filed in 2005 and prior. Based on murthy.com and other lawyers, it appears that they will be processing I 485s old cases. However, any new cases will be processed either by nsc or tsc and some of the early 2006 cases have been transferred to NSC/ TSC from vsc.

VSC claims that they forgot to report the I 485 processing times as an error in the last bulletin, but we will know, by the next processing times as to what would be our fate.

It does not appear that that any cases from 2005 have been transferred to nsc/tsc from vsc.

Hope this helps!

In the nut shell: wait and see.

I 485 cases which were filed in 2005 and prior is still with VAc and they are working on it. We got approval in this month.

njRIR,

Thanks for the reply. I understand that for EB2 there are no visa numbers left for this year and new numbers will be available on Oct 1 but for us Visa numbers are available as we are filed under 'Schedule A' yet why would they not process these cases.

Also the NSC, TSC and my local office Newark, NJ are processing cases filed on or after 1st quarter of 2006 and mine is from Oct 2005 yet i have to wait as VSC has not transferred my case to other centre. Is there any way I can tell them to push my case to other centre or my local office? I know it is not that simple but just wanted to explore my options before our category goes into retrogession and it does fall in EB3 so than it will be a long wait.

Also wanted to share with all that my wife (who is the primary applicant) got an RFE on 485 in Mar 2006 which was replied on 04/12/06. Today she got an LUD on 485 along with 140 which got approved yesterday. Does that mean they are working on our 485 or it just routine pattern to get LUD on 485 the day after 140 is approved. My 485 has not had an LUD since 11/15/2005 after my finger prints were done.

Any ideas from any one here which can help us are appreciated.

Hi:

I am not too sure as to what to make out of these LUDs. Usually it is a positive sign.

I think we have to wait and see as to what VSC does with the pending I 485s which were filed in 2005. My PD is 2/2002, I am out of retrogression however for the months of august and september, Indian EB2 Visas are available, so I know for a fact that my I 485 cannot approved in these 2 months.

I think, VSC, is just working on a new process( which I am not too sure as to what this?). So, we have to wait and see as to what they do the pending I 485s. I have a feeling they will release their processing times in the next couple of bulletins.

140 approved yesterday and 485 approved today....

VSC is indeed working with those 2005 485 cases as most in this thread filed for in 2005 have not transfered to CSC or TSC and my wife's 140 got approved yesterday and today her 485 also got approved in evening after getting an LUD on both 140 & 485 in the morning as I mentioned in my last post.

However my 485 (which is for a dependent) has not had any LUD's since last Nov when my FP was done. I am hoping to get my 485 approved any time soon.

Does anyone have an idea how long should it take normally for the dependent's 485 to approve after the primary applicant is approved.

Congratulations! That's great news. It appears that VSC is still working on 2005 cases.

Most of the prim and dependent approval come at the same time. In our case, I got approved and my wife and son got RFE (DOB and other) after 15 days. Hang on for couple of days, and then call VAC to check the status if not approved.

I called VSC asking for the status of my 485. The lady who answered said that there is nothing missing in my file but just that it got detached from my wife's case and that it should have been approved with the approval of primary I-485. After keeping me on hold for almost 30 minutes she checked my file and said that she will assign it to someone who would have a look at it and told to call back in 30 days if I don't hear from them till then.

Meanwhile my wife's card has been processed and will be in mail as per the latest LUD. Well its never easy with USCIS as we all know but we are not complaining as our ordeal is nothing compared to what some have faced in this forum so hoping for the best.

Do you have the phone number for VSC? I want to call them too. Thanks.

VSC 485 is back

Hi all:

VSC is showing 485 again, but the date is May 2005!!

Does anybody remember what the date for 485 was when they showed it last time before taking it off from the website?

qplearn

As far as I remember, the date was June 25, 2005.
Looks like they are going backward in time.
