Processing based on ND not RD?

Depending on the officers, but it seems to me that they process process the cases based on ND (when the information was entered to the computer).

It makes sense to process by ND, since that is a chronological record in the computers (i.e. spreadsheet). The RD is not chronological. The RD is used as a legal flag , e.g. for H1B extensions. So, looks like ND of November is being processed. However, ND of november comprises of apps from Sep to Nov RD.

It is RD only

Guys

This issue has been debated to death. Trust me, it is RD and RD only. (For e.g. I got approved yesterday being an October 2001 filer and my ND is January 2002.)

Hope this helps

Noone knows..

I think the cases are allotted to the officers based on RD and the movement on the case is entirely in the hands of the officers.

IT IS BY NOTICE DATE

Atleast,In my case it was the Notice date that was used.
My original 485 receipt date was 9/11/2001 and my notice date was 11/24/2001.
And whenever I called the IIO until last month (four or five times) , she would say that mine was a november case and NOT a september case. .
And finally on the 485 approval notice that I received on Jan10th,2003, the RECEIPT DATE showed NOVEMBER 9,2001 and had a NOTICE DATE of Jan,10 2003

RD it is...

All websites post RD under for "processing times"...
eg Jan 15th updates shows that INS is processing RD of 10-15-2001

Murthy.com's own dates are also RD's

i think it's RD too

And when you get your approval notice it'll state your ND as Receipt date. and so does the online and avm status messages.
