1. You should received a NOA (Notice of Action I-797C) as receipts not approval for the I-130 (petitioner), I-485 (your AOS), I-131 (Advance Parole) and for I-765 (EAD).
On the NOA's will be a notice date and a receipt date. From the receipt date you count 90 days to received your EAD, if you haven't received it by the 90 days you can go to your DO with your receipts and make an INFOPASS and ask for an iEAD (interim EAD).
2. USCIS will send an appointment for biometrics and fingerprints, you should attend. That is important. This part takes awhile since depends on the ASC (Application Service Center) who are the ones who does this part of the process.
3. Normally after that (if everything is okay and you did not received a RFE) you should get the approval of your EAD and get it. The entire process takes like approx. 3 months since your receipt date.
4. About your AP takes around the same quantity of time but I am not sure since I never apply for it.
5. After all that, you look for a job, you get your SSN at the SSA with your EAD. This part can take awhile since the SSA needs to verify your EAD and sometimes take up to a month or so to do so.
6. Your file go from Chicago Lockbox that they will received your money and make the first part of check your file. The MSC is the one who will process your file, they are the one who send you a RFE if something is missing later on and from there all your receipts are coming from. They are the ones who send your file to your DO, when your DO is ready for the interview.
That is practically it, just remember that all depends on your DO timeline and things can go from 3 to 6 or up to 9 months...some are waiting a year.
Good luck,
