Process for immigration to canada

Dear friends ,

I am a Indian citizen,living in Japan at present . I want to apply for immigration to canada . I have assesed myself on online and have sufficient points. I have received emails from the advocates whose online i have used to asses the points. Can i go ahead and pay the advocates and proceed with the process.. can anyone give me a good way to start with . ...

Does that mean , i need to go to my country to apply. I am working in Japan . I have confirmed that Japan embassy doesnt proccess ... Is it necessary that i go personally for appling (that would be a quite a task ...)
 
English Proficiency Examination

I working legally in USA for last 6 year and I want to apply for canadian immigration, I was told that I have to take the English test for canadian immigration. If so, is there any way to avoid it, as I will have to travel to DC for getting it.
