My fiancee's parents are permanent residents and filed PR application of "unmarried child of permanent resident" for her in 1997. Now her father will have a citizenship interview on August 13. If everything goes well, he will have his citizenship after that.
We know that if we get married after her father gets his citizenship, my fiancee can change the category to "married child of citizen", and then both of us can file 485 form to get permanent residency at the same time. Could any one pls tell me the proper procedure of doing that? What first? what next? What forms to file?
