Can anyone list in short the procedure to apply for a PCC at the Indian Consulate.
I have heard we have to send form, original passport and copies of passport and self addressed envelope for them to return pp in 3 days.
After an inquiry the Consulate requests us to send the original PP back to them for them to stamp the PCC.
Also noted that the fee to be sent will have to include charges for them to return Passport by mail. Is this for the first time return or the final after the stamping.
The website states no prepaid envelope should be sent.
These look contradicting.
Or do they keep the Passport for the 4 or 5 weeks it takes them to process the PCC and return it once for all.
I do not want them to return the documents for a small issue as this, hence I am checking with those with such an experience.
