Does anybody know the USCIS standard procedure for name check? I had my interview in December 2002 in San Francisco office for a family based I-485. My Husband and I were told that my case is solely pending on the name check. I just find out through FOIA that my name check was submitted to FBI one month after my interview. Should not they send request to FBI before interview or at least at same time? Is this normal or my case was mis-handled by USCIS officer? Can I do anything about it? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
