Procedure for issuing RFEs????

Dear all:

I was wondering what is the procedure used to send RFEs.

a) Do they chck your application, look for all the mising evidence and make a list of all the RFEs required and send out to you

OR

b) Do they look for the first missing evidence, send out an RFE and once they get the RFE, re-open the file and if they find another missing evidence, issue another RFE.

They sent me an RFE on a birth certificate for my I-485. I have mailed the RFE. I just hope there are no more RFEs.

Your input would be much appreciated.

Its normally the first case as they don't like issuing a whole lot of RFEs either. But I have seen 2nd RFEs issues to people in rare cases as well.

Same happened to me (RFE for birth certificate for my wife). We responded a couple of weeks ago, received an e-mail notifying receiving the response last week. LUD changed on my wife's 485 again on Monday, hoping to receive approval e-mails soon! I hope that they completed our name checks before issuing this RFE.
