Procedure after I-140 approvel.

Hi CPers, I opted for CP in my I-140. I want to find procedure after I-140 is approved, like when my case will be sent to NVC, when NVC will create number and rest of the process. Main thing is my lawyer is slow in doing things; I want to avoid any delays. I want to know the procedure, what I have to do and what my lawyer has to do after my I-140 is approved. Please give as much details as possible, I will be thankful to you.

Procedure

Your file will be sent from INS to NVC (takes 3-4 weeks). Then NVC will create case number and send your file to the consulate and Packet 3 (it has a new name now) to you (takes another 3-5 weeks). Upon receipt of Packet 3 from you, consulate will do a background check and schedule you for the interview (another 2-3 months). The whole process can usually be completed within 3-5 months from I-140 approval.
