HI
I work of a company in detroit and used to live in detroit. Last month i got a job in newjersey. Since this is a 3 year project i could not do traveling as was the case before( I wanted to be in detroit till i get my GC since my labour was from MI). Filled AR-11 with the new jersy address. Here are my questions

1) I got an RFE for Colour copies of passport and Drivers license.I sent NSC the copies. Since i moved to new jersey will they transfer the case to VSC or New Jersey, Its past 90 days at NSC if they transfer will the clock get reset.

2) I filled for my wife's 485 with newjersey address to NSC and we got a Transfer Notice from NSC with Receipt date of Sep 2nd will that be here receipt date of will VSC give her a new receipt date

Thanks

Since your I-140 was approved by NSC, I believe they should process your I-485 (i.e. not transfer it to VSC). They could transfer it to a local office for an interiew as they do for some applicants, in which case it would be to an office in NJ and not Detroit.

As far as I know, the receipt date should be the one when NSC originally received it, both for you and wife. Simply because they transfer the appl. to a different office for their processing convenience, doesnt mean they can deny the fact that the original application was properly filed on a certain date with NSC (which was the appropriate service center, given your residence in Detroit).
