Probable Name check delay ??

Hi,

Myself and my spouse filed N-400 application together on May 18th,2007. My spouse got the interview letter but I didn't. The only difference in our application was that in Part 1, question C, I filled in one other name used. ( We use initials for First Name in our part of the origin ). I suspect this could have been the reason for the delay because having an initial as First Name would really widen all searches in any database

Now I realized that there aren't any documents/history of my other name every being used in U.S throughout my existence here. Should I send an update to my original application to ignore this other name, so that it will speed up the processing ? What else are my options ?
I have already made a FOIPA request yesterday.

Please help!

It is very common for the husband to have a delayed name check response. FOIPA is useless because it only checks for main file and not reference file checks that are the cause of the name check delays.
