Guys,
I would like to know if sending Employment Verification Letter without a RFE from USCUS helps. Has anyone successfully done this? If so, how to go about doing this?

Any input is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Who is going to send? You or your attorney?
In last couple of days, I am also thinking on the same line.
Anybody has experience on this.

Rfe

Jagabalia,
I applied for adjustment of status myself. So, yes, I would be the one sending the EVL. (I don't have the new EVL from my employer yet.)

I think we need bring USCIS' attention to our case somehow. If sending EVL would help achieve that, why not? I also sent a letter to my Senators. Hopefully, the Senator's office will be able to talk to an officer directly there by bringing attention to my case. Or am I pipe-dreaming?

My lawyer says...

Its not a good to send anything to INS, unless they ask for it! I had him the same questions regarding my wife's medicals.

In my case, I could persuade my employing company. They said they would generated an EVL with current date. Also, write a separate letter inquiring the status on my 485.
Today morning I posted a thread asking for NSC fax number. Nobody replied..., In case if there is a fax number available, I would like the HR to fax and mail the letter.
In case you guys are trying to fax/mail a similar letter, do not forget to attach 485 reciept notice.

CIS has millions on cases on 'shelf'. By definition these queues are not due for processing yet.
Cases for which RFE has been send are on separate smaller queue.
They won't fetch a file from the shelf to update your information.

Try your luck

Sometimes it may help get your approval, if you are lucky . But it can happen only if your case is adjudication ready, have completed Name/background check and your FP is not expired.

Try your luck... and let us know...

thanks,
- Falm
