Hi:

Does anyone have information on Private Bill? My attorney advised me to seek private bill (he's still helping me on my case - I guess it is not promising.) Whom should I ask to sponsor a private bill? How should I write and convince the sponsor to sponsor me? How long do I need to wait for the private bill to be approved by Congress? Is it possible for a private bill to sponsor citizenship (skip PR)?

Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Private Bill is meant for foreign nationals that Congress (House of Representatives or Senate) believes has a compelling humanitarian factors to stay permanently in the U.S. and for whom the INS cannot grant permanent resident status.

I have heard in TN, state does it for Doctors- not sure about it though - check with your sources. There it has nothing to do with humanatarian cause etc.
