I am currently preparing my lawsuit. Most of the complaints contains home addresses, other information that could lead to a privacy concern.
I was reading the PRO SE handbook from my district court and this issue was mentioned in there too as follows:
(6) Privacy Protection: Local Rule 8.1 requires litigants to redact (omit or obscure)certain information from their pleadings and from any exhibits attached to pleadings.Information that must be redacted includes: social security numbers, names of minor children, dates of birth, financial account information and home addresses.
I have have put my address in the beginning and at the end of the complaint and I have a lot of exhibits that contains DOB and home address. How should I remove those...should I remove/erase it from the copy of my exhibit documents or what???
