priority date

What is this priority date have to do with anything? My 140 receipt didnot have this date but the approval has it... Can anyone tell me more about this. I know it is the date when I filed labour... Thanks

Ap 3/26 approved
Ead 3/24 approved
I 140 9/26/03 approved

I am not sure how important PD is. After you file I-485 it is RD of the 485 case that governs your GC priority. At least this is what I believe. Everything is counted from RD.

As far as i know, i dont think the PD is usefull anymore.

Previously, people use to wait to file 485 after their 140 got approved. they were able to file 485 only after their PD
becomes current. And its not the case anymore. They have changed
it longtime back. You can file 485 once you got ur 140 apporved(other than concurrent).


Unless BCIS, use the PD for clearing up the oldest case
its of no use.
