My Parents(PERMANENT RESIDENTS) Petitioned(I-130) for my sister in 1998 when she was 16 And it was approved.
However we are still awaiting a visa number and she is 3 months away from turning 21 . (She is currently a student on F-1 status)
Questions are:
1
oes her turning 21 now change her priority date status hence essentially pushing her back a couple of years? or is the priority date based on the Initial petition ?
2oes she have to leave the country if she fails To maintain F-1 Status while awaiting her Visa Number since her classification doesnt allow here to adjust status Until a Visa Number is ready
3: What Options are available To her ?
