Priority date prior to Mailing date

TSC received date: Jul 17th
Check cleared: Aug 6th

I found the case number from the check. When I checked the online case status, it says they received the application on Jun 27th and mailed a notice describing how we will process your case. I have not received my NOA letter yet. I have not received no letter (no communication) so far. What should I do? What is happening? I called USCIS Cust Svc and they asked me to wait for 90 days.
 
The simplest explanation is that you have the wrong case number and that message is related to somebody else not you. I would suggest you wait for the notices to arrive.

Hello Terese:
Same thing happened to me until I got my NOA and found out that the receipt number listed on the back of the cashed check is actually SSC$00###### which means they have a different tracking number for checks deposited. when you get your NOA you will get a receipt number like this SSC*00######, note the change of the dollar sign by the asterisk. The number you saw on the back of your check will be listed on the lower left corner of your NOA. Good luck and do not worry to much!
 
So, which one is right? SSC* or SSC$

Today I spoke to an Immigration Officer and he could not find my appl in the system based on my A# or name. He told me to send the appl again with the photocopy of the check. Officer mentioned this must be a data entry error. I am just confused.

There is a huge backlog at TSC issuing Receipt Notices. You will get yours very soon as well as the FP appointment. The receipt number starts with ssc*. good luck and be just patient. give a couple of extra weeks before doing anything.:) check this link to get more info http://www.uscis.gov/files/pressrelease/ReceiptingTimes082407.pdf
