It's very frustrating that inspite of doing everything by law, I have to wait behind thousands of cases of those who didn't follow the law and are benefeciaries of 245i. Had they been placed in a seperate bucket many cases like mine would had been approved atleast 3 years ago.

My priority date is 5/8/2001 Any thoughts on how soon will it be current? Would like responses from those in the same boat.

Beacuse your PD is AFTER their PD. Simple.

Security Check Status Update at TSC

I called TSC this morning to get a status update on my security check. The person I spoke to was very polite and helpful and told me that my security check was initiated on 9/29 and is still ongoing. He also told me that the FBI have not yet returned by fingerprinting report to USCIS yet (I was FP'd on 10/14). So, there's clearly an element of luck involved with the TSC personnel - sometimes they'll talk and sometimes they won't.

Dude I understand your frustration, My PD is also in late 2001. My labor took almost 5 years. But I was able to file 485 since I am from non retro. I guess we can just wait and move on with our lives. Time is precious, so enjoy it and don't get frustrated :)
