Hi All,
My priority dates are current now and I am filing 485 and EAD for me and my spouse on the 1st of June. Is there any way to expedite the EAD
 , so that we could get it within a month. My spouse is getting a job but the new employer wants the start date to be first week of June.

Thanks

my lawyer advise me to file the I485 first and once they got the receipt notice, they will file for the I765. This way, it will elimiate the namecheck backlog that may affect the I485 and I765 at the same time. It may delay the I765 approval.

Wow! So simple to eliminate background check backlog! Your lawyer is genius, I could not believe it.

<Sarcasm off> Sorry, could not refrain myself from comment :)

I am a chinese and may not use perfect english.
What I meant, per my lawyer, he will submit the I485 first. Once we had the receipt notice then we will submit for the I765. Becaz if the I485 get stucked in the name check thing, it will affect/delay the I765 approval.

I have no clue if this is T or F. But it sounds OK to me.

If you stuck in name check it doesn't matter if 765 filed together or later. Just my IMHO.
