I noticed in the time lines of other members that they mention that they got a priority date after they submitted their citizen applications. it is this a document that I should be getting in the mail from immigration ?
Technically from USCIS point of view priority date is the date at which application is deemed to be received correctly and entered in their system data base. Now for most part it is the day on which application is received but don't bet on it.
Most incorrect documentation does not delay the priority. USCIS just ask for them later, but the eligibility date for n400 (including the 90 day rule) is very important.
