Priority Date 9th Feb2001, still no info how long will it take...

Hi Guys
I am 28, have a girlfriend, still cant marry her
I have this query, my priority Date is 9th Feb 2001, family immigrated to USA in 2000 dec, now they become Citizens and have applied for change of Category from F2b to F1.
I have no clue, how much more time will it take and how long before i get any info from the US consulate.
Any experience users, or Attorneys who see this post, please reply to this that how much more time will it take for me to immigrate to USA,
A lot of decisions of my family depend on the fact of my moving to usa, so any inputs are appriciated...
 
Well if your priority is F1, then your PD is in fact current. You should be hearing from the US consulate soon....

Has your parent received any confirmation from USCIS that your case is changed from F2B to F1?

If yes, your parent should file I-485 for you right now. You should get GC probably in months (depending on DO). However keep in mind that your gf still needs to wait for another 5 years or so to get her GC which is sponsored by you.

I have the feeling the OP is outside of the US, so his/her parents can't file I-485 for him.

Changing from Fb2 to F1...I hope s/he is not from Philippines.
