Primary GC Approved , not dependents

Hi Gurus

Please read and advice me.....

I am very new to this forum and do not have good understanding of the GC terminology and process.

My I-485 details are ,

Notice data in 07.09.02
FP date 08.XX.02
Approved on 11.05.02
plastic Card in 12.25.02

But My wife and daughter's not approved till now.

I never really went around the forums b'caz , I got the GC in less than the amount of time i expecetd.
Before I came here I thought I was alone, but now I see there lot of people out there like me.


Problem description :
My last name is two words.

While filing the I-485 the attroney made a stupid mistake of not mentioning the last name completly in my wife's and daughters applications ( i.e only one word is shown where the passport has two words).
I have come from part of the world where last name has little importance, So i ignored the mistake while signing the applications.
Now, all the applications for my wife and daugheter have incomplete last name.

We badly want to visit our native country.

How Can I correct this mistake, which is causing me so much pain and frustration.

I really , really appreciate your help and advice.

My suggestion for you

My suggestion for you is to
1) Write a letter describing the issues and fax/ post it to BCIS.
2) Try to speak to the new incompetant 1-800 number of BCIS. They may actually help you and guide you to the correct procedure.
