previous employers I-140

Hello All
Can someone advice me on my situation.

I have an approved I140 from my last job, and a pending labor from my current job. My Previous employer has agreed to continue to file 485 since the priority date is current. Now my question is:

If i apply for EAD and get it within the next few months, before getting the actual green card, can i use that EAD to continue/port it to work at my current job or do I have to move back to my previous job?

I understand that if i get my green card approved i will have to move to the previous employer, but what can be done with the EAD?

Second question being, can my wife start to work using the EAD from this application?

If your i-485 is pending for 6 months (most likely with the flood of applicants starting on 7/1/7) you can invoke ac21 if both jobs are similar
