previous employer calls me back to work as contractor for 3 months.

Hi All,

I was layed off from a company as a permanent employee 2 months before, when my 485 was 110 days old. Now I have completed 6 months. I have EAD with me. Currently I am looking for a job. Yesterday, I received a call from my previous employer saying they want to hire me back for a contracting position for 3 months. In that case, I will be working for them thru some consultancy. Is it ok to do so, as I am again going to work for my previous employer who layed me off. It sounds confusing for me. (GC is for a future employment, but in this case I am going back to work for my previous employer who layed me off .. in a contracting position). Will it create a problem if I get a RIF. Can u guys please advice me.

Thanks.

No problem.

I don't think that you have problem working for your previous
employer. It's better for you if you directly are paid by the
same employer because paycheck is helpful for paycheck
stub REF from INS. If you can work for any employer after waiting
for 180 days, why can not you work for previous employer?
GOOD LUCK!

I am not being payed by my previous employer. I will get paystubs thru another consulting company; and this company will hire me temporarily, not as a permanent employee. Is there any thing that I should be careful before joining this consulting company as a temporary employee. thanks for the reply.
