Pretty high case number, should I expect to get an interview?

I got a high case number: 2014EU00033*** and I've seen that in previous years those numbers got 2NL and an interview date. Recently I've read on some forums that high numbers are less likely to be processed and I already sent an email to KCC, but I know that they won't tell me much. So, does 'CURRENT' mean that rest of the case numbers left are getting their interview or am I wrong? I became quite skeptical about the whole process regarding my case.

I just answered this on another thread. EU33k is not a very high number. There are EU cases in the mid to late 50's and those numbers are the ones with most risk. When we see Current on the VB it means there are enough visas to meet demand from the remaining numbers. However, I think it is likely that some regions will not go current this year as there are more selectees than a normal year by 30% and the response rate appears to be normal/high.

KCC won't tell you much because they can't tell you much. They also don't know how many people will send in forms late, how many will turn up for their interviews, or what the success rate of applicants will be. If they knew all that they would be able to publish the entire FY numbers in advance....
