Preparing N-400, have questions

This is my first post here. I am preparing N-400 for myself and my wife based on 5-year continuous residency as PR. For most parts it seems pretty straightforward, but there are few tricky places, based partially on many issues discussed on this board. (I am I glad I found this forum!) Here are my questions:

Part 10, D (Good Moral Character)
I had a handful of tickets in the past 8 years. 2 or 3 for speeding, 2 minor accidents, etc. I can probably find copies and receipts of my most recent citations. But I am afraid I will not be able to find any records from 7-8 years ago when I lived in Texas. I am not even sure if Texas DMV will have my records because I paid lawyer and took defensive driving course to have the tickets removed from my records. How should I handle this siuation? What if I cannot find any records (official or non-official)? Should I still list them on N-400? (Without remembering dates and place?)

Part 10, G (Selective Service Registration)
This one seems to be very popular on this board as well. I think I am Ok with SSS, because I was 26 yr and 11 month old when I got my green card. I read here that some people advised to get an official letter from SSS anyway. Not a big deal for me. I already have the request ready to be mailed to SSS. My question is: should I wait until for the letter from SSS (4-6 weeks) and then enclose it with my N-400, or should I submit my N-400 now (as soon as it ready) and then bring the SSS letter to the interview?

Thanks in advance!

You do not need to mention ordinary speeding tickets on N-400. I had three speeding tickets, didn't mention on N-400. But at the time of interview I mentioned I have three speeding tickets, the CIS said no problem. Only DUI, or reckless driving needs to be mentioned.

Also you don't need to mail SSS letter with N-400. You can take that letter at the time of interview.

I had my interview in oakland, ca in first week of Jan. Now I am waiting for Oath Ceremony.

Before sending application to NSC, I sent a personal mail to Mr. Rajiv Khanna attorney and boss of this web site. He said we should mention "EVERYTHING." However small they are, better put them on N400 so that the INS knows beforehand.

I do not know about you, but I put all those things. BTW this is for the guy who originally started the thread

Even after 20 years if you ask TX DMV they MUST have your records. They back up records on disk and store them. So you should have them alright (may charge $). I got my 8 year old record dug out from disk from TN state. Explain that you are applying for citizenship, they are very cooperative. Hope this Helps!

Thanks for replying to me.

Based on responses in other posts some people prefer to list everything, even minor citations. I kind of agree with this approach: better be safe than sorry. But in my case I think it will be hard to get all my records straight.

That's what I was planning to do.
