Premium Processing

Hello,

my employer applied for Premium Processing. USCIS did a 'little' mistake and so the USCIS was unable to complete the processing within 15 days. So they should refund 1000$.
My question is:
How long does it take till the USCIS refunds the money?

the refund process will be be fast like private companies.

In the USCIS regulation about the Premium Processing Service, "USCIS will refund the $1,000 fee and continue to process the request as part of the Premium Processing Service." (see http://www.greencardapply.com/news/news06/news06_1116.htm)

But USCIS never mentioned how fast or within how many days they will refound the $1,000. For US goverment agency like USCIS, the refund process will be be fast like private companies.

If an applicant or petitioner believes that he or she is entitled to a refund of fee, the applicant or petitioner should call the customer service line or submit a written request for a refund to the office having jurisdiction over their application or petition. USCIS will review the request for a refund and either approve or deny the request based on the information at hand. If the adjudicator finds USCIS made an error, then the officer will complete Form G-266, Request for Refund of Fee.
