At the AILA/California Service Center (CSC) liaison meeting on February 26, 2002, the CSC announced that Premium Processing would likely commence for I-140s on April 15, 2002. This is their target date and there is no guarantee that the program will start on that day. The program will be phased in and initially INS will limit acceptance of I-140s for lower volume type cases such as those filed under the EB1 category. Subsequently, they will accept I-140s filed under the EB2 and EB3 categories.
