I am a former J-1 currently on H-1B working in underserved area over the last 2 yrs. I have a self-petitioned NIW approved in 1998.Can I apply for AOS I485 prior to finishing the 3yr requirement in underserved on H-1B? Am I obliged to continue working for my current employer once the 3yr period is up or should I wait until my green card process is over..?Any body in similar situation? I would appreciate any advice. Thank you.
