I'll be mailing my EAD application on 20th.
My EAD expired on 4/4/2005
I'll be mailing through ordinary mail

Can I use 4/3/2005 on EAD application, Check and covering letter? Or do they question?

I'm still on H1 status.

Thanks

One question to you .... WHY ??

Your EAD does not establish anything w.r.t legal status .... and you need the actual EAD (or iEAD) to work pursuant to EAD (not an issue for you since u are on H1) ... the date on the EAD application is pretty much meaningless.

So why do you want to put an old date and start any controversy (if at all) ...

Assuming that an old date is OK, what do you think you would achieve ?

I see your point...

What I want to achieve is, not to start controversy for 'renewing expired EAD'.

I really don't know if prefiling would start controversy or renewing the expired ead would.

Considering I'm still on H1, mostly likely its better to date the correct date.

Thnx

There is no rule that says that you can't renew your EAD after its expired.

Many folks have renewed their EAD months after the old one expired.

I would not manipulate the dates for this .... you should just put the correct date -- simple :)
