PR visa stamping on passport

Anyone here have PR visa stamped in person at Buffalo!
- Is it bood idea or better to mail the passport!
- Is an appointment needed, if not, does it take whole day or are there too many people!
- What documents need to be carried to Buffalo apart from passport!
- Can I send someone from my family to have it stamped!

When you get your passport request, it will have all the information about sending thru mail or getting that done in person..
