PR visa extension

Hi All,
i just received my PR visa valid for less than two months. However i need more time before landing in canada since i have to apply for Advance parole here in US to be able to return to the US after landing in Canada. i've heard that the Advance parole takes at least two months to get processed. i have a job here and i want to be able to return to the US after landing in Canada.
My question: is it possible to extend my PR visa to get me enough time to apply and receive my Advance parole here in US?
any help will be appreciated.

You can try but I seriously doubt that they will extend the validity of your PR visa especially for the reason you have mentioned. If you do not land before the expiry of your visa then your PR status will be cancelled.
