Hi -
My friend recently got Canadian Immigration from USA. When he submitted his passports to Buffalo office for Immigration Visa stamp, he only received the following back in Mail.
1. Canadian Immigration Visa stamp (One entry) valid until July
2004.
2. CPR (Confirmation of Perm. Residency) Papers.
He has not received any papers (IMM 5455) for his PR Card though he sent his recent Pictures as per the letter he received from the Buffalo Office.
When I got my immigration in April this year, I got IMM 5455 along with other two documents.
Is there any change now-a-days. Can some one confirm that he is missing the IMM 5455. If anyone received immigration
stamping recently in August/September can you please check the doc list for me.
Also, when he applied he stated that his destination is Toronto, Onatario. But as he is living in USA close to Vancouver border will
that be Ok if he lands in Vancouver area (West Coast) by Road and returns back to USA after completing the formalities. Ofcourse he is going to give Ontario state address for PR Card and Social Insurance ID Card. I know that it is ok to do this, but my friend is still worried and wants to seek seniors opinion.
