PR from within Canada?

how long does it take to get PR if one applies from within Canada itself? any advantages/disadvantages as compared to applying from US? I have a study permit there while my wife has an open work permit but I would like to file for PR from here itself as a skilled worker.

I personally don't hink there's not much difference in applying for Canadian PR either from within Canada or elsewhere,the exception is applying from US.
Few of my friends got their PR faster applying from US,besides you stand a good chance of having ur interview waived!
