PR for US Citizen Child?

Hi:
I am planning to apply for Canadian PR. Do I have to apply for PR for my child as well who is an US citizen? Are US citizens allowed to live in Canada forever without any visa?

Yes, You have to apply for him/her also.. Regardless of moving or not, all family members has to be applied.. thats what i did..
