Hi,
First, I would like to thank you all, this forum gave/giving me a lot of advices and good directions which helped me during the past years in getting the Canadian PR, the US green card, and answers to my H1-B visa concerns and questions. So THANK YOU ALL for all the help and support you showed.
Here is my situation…
I landed into Canada in August 2001, and I went back to the US after two weeks, I am still in the US and planning to travel to Canada to get the PR Cards and go back to the US. Then I am planning to move to Canada for good before august of next year. I have two kids born in the US and for that they are US citizen.
Now here is the question:
Do I need to apply and get a PR cards for the kids now, or I can wait until next year when I move to Canada to do that? Remember that they are US citizen and for that they can enter Canada without a visa or PR cards. This way I don’t have to bring them with me to Canada twice; once for applying for PR Cards, and the other to go get the PR Cards.
In nutshell, do you need to have/hold the PR Cards in order to be considered landed immigrant?
Thanks a lot
Jack
