Hi ,

I am new to this forum. I landed in Canada Aug 2004 along with my wife.
Stayed in canada for 3 days and retuned to USA.

I recived my PR Card and SIN Card (In Sept2004). My wife received her SIN Card But did not Receive Her PR Card.

Should I contact Canadian Immigration Dept. Where should I contact?
Any body in same situation.

Sorry for late reply...I have logged in after a long time.

I am still waiting for my wife's PR card.
Back in October I have sent a fax to New York Office. But the is no info from them.

I don't no what to do.

I got a mail from CIC at my Canadian relative's addess to show up for a photo shoot on Thursday Jan 24 at 8:30 am. I am going to Toronto tommorow.

There is n o number to call from USA. If you are outside of Canada you need to contact embassy to get a travel document. You will receive a letter at the address in about a month to appear in person for a photo shoot. Its better to make the date and get it over with. But on the contrary if you are not planning to move to Canada in the near future, you may as well wait and obtain a travel document when you do move.

1) Should my wife go to the Embassy in person for the Travel Document or is it possible to apply thru mail or Phone?

2)Can we just go to Canada without any appointment and ask for photo shoot?

If Yes can you please give me the Location of photo Shoot?

Landed in October But no PR card till now

I'm sailing in the same boat, my wife and i landed in windsor in october but have not recieved PR card yet.
When i had initially applied for immigration, i had given a friends address in Montreal, but he has since left Montreal.
So when i landed in October i gave another friends address in Windsor, he did recieve the SIN card but not the PR card.
When i log into the CIC website, the address listed is the Montreal address (old) and not the Windsor Address (new).
My Question is:
Is CIC website supposed to show the most current address that we give (during landing) or will it show the original address we gave when we actually applied for immigration ?
My fear is that they tried to deliver to the Montreal address and was probably sent back as my friend doesnt live at that address anymore.
Any Help is appreciated.

You can apply by mail refer to the Canadian embassy website that serves you.

No. You need an appointment

The location is based on your mailing address. If you want a different location you need to call CIC. You cannot cal from USA , only from Canada. You call a Canadian friend and ask them to conference you.

Most current address. You can go to CIC website with your record of landing address and change the address. I did that because I gave the wrong address while landing.

If your PR card was returned YOU WILL HAVE TO PICK UP PERSONALLY. This is a security measure.
