PR Card for US resident

Can anyone shed some light on our options.

I am a Canadian Citizen on the US on a H1. My wife is a landed immigrant of Canada and is staying in the US with me. We have applied for our GC, but the processing is quite slow, that it may take a few years.

We enter the US before Visa's where required and we have been Advanced Payrolled. So I think that re-entering the US is not an issue.
Does anyone know what our options are in terms of getting a PR card?

Thanks a bunch

Since you are a citizen, you dont need the PR card.
Your wife does and it's quite a task to apply it from US if you dont have any relatives/friends helping you here. Infact, even if friends are helping, she still needs to get the picture taken and have the notary sign it's back wtih her being present. Unless you know a notary too? :)

But seriously, it seems she needs to come here and once she does, she needs the visa to go back. And for the visa, she needs either paystubs, or she can claim to be a housewife and present supporting facts (canadian). Bear in mind, many are getting just a one month visa to US. In which scenario, have to come back after a month and get it renewed and again wonder how much time they give the visa for.
