Hello Every one
I am new to this board. I am planning to apply for a PR in Canada. Can some please tell me
1. What are the different stages.
2. How long the whole process will take.
3. If you guys can suggest me a good lawyer that will be great.

Right now I am in US on H1.

The whole process if u apply at Buffalo (USA)takes about 6 months if u get an Interview waiver. The application process is pretty simple. After u submit your application, u get an AOR (ack of receipt in a month). And then a month from then u will get either an Interview waiver + Medical forms or an Interview reqd notification. If u received a waiver, once u complete the Medicals u shd get your Landing Papers within a month from the Medicals date (depends on your Background checks also). The validity of your Landing Papers (or Visa) is one yr from the date of Medicals. Of course, time lines vary from individual to individual...Try www.canadavisa.com, they are very efficient and fast.
