Hi Ntom

Cool , congrats. My letter was also dated the 12th, October as well. I just sent the Passport today to New York. The letter said it will take around 3 weeks for processing.

I'll keep you updated. When and where r u planning to Land ?

Thanks
Sanjay

Have a problem :(

Thanks Sanjay. Just noticed I have a prob. with my kids' passports. They are expiring in July '07 (so doesn't have 12 mths validity as required). I didn't bother to check before. Applied for this PR process in 2005 and at the time I didn't bother cos I thought the PPs will expire only in 2007 and there's plenty of validity left.

I dunno what to do now. Planning to renew their PPs via expediated process (takes 2 weeks). PP number will obviously change. Don't know how this will impact the process :( Planning to call NY consulate and ask them their input tomorrow.

Haven't thought abt when and where to land yet. Have to do my research on tht subject. BTW, I live in NJ. Where do u live??

Hi Ntom

Nice, even i have to reasearch as to where i would want to land, but i think initially i may land in Toronto.

Btw, I live in Massachusetts.

question

I applied in october 2005, got my IA and completed my medicals couple of weeks back. Expecting my PPR papers in the near future.

Have a couple of questions:-

1. In the Permanent residence application (IMM0008, question 20) I indicated that i wanted to live in Vancouver, BC. Does this mean I have to land in the western border of US/Canada. My intent now is to land in Niagara falls and also live in Toronto when moving permanently. Do I have to notify Buffalo of this intent.

2. Once we land and get back to US, how long can I stay back in US, until moving into canada permanently again without losing the Canadian GC.

Thanks,
G.

--------Can land anywhere in Canada, No, not required to inform.

--------You have to be present physically 730 days in the 5 year period.

Thanks,
G.
