Hi ,
I got my GreenCard approved recently.I wanted to schedule an appointment with Info pass.I have filed my GC with texas ,TSC and got it approved on Nov 8th 2004.But recently i moved to NJ.I have Texas license.Can i use the approval notice from lawyer and Texas license as id and get stamped in Newark rather than going to Texas to get stamped.

Do i need to update my latest address with INS by calling 800 number before i goto Newark office.

Gurus please comment.Is it possible to goto a different Service center even though if we got approved from TSC.Please comment what INS officer will mainly check.

When I went for stamping, they needed a stateid/license ID only for verification. Inorder to schedule an infoss pass , you need to provide the ZIP CODE. Since you live in NJ, you can get a state id and use it for that purpose.

The INS officer asked me to write the correct address in the approval notice. No need to worry about your address change now.

Once you change address, you need to inform the INS about it within 10 days. You need to submit the AR-11.

For me they did not asked any thing, printed infopass from the web in Norflok, VA. Shown the approval letter, Infopass and Passport as ID. Allowed inside and did the stampping without any problem, my cards ordered after 6days.

so you changed your address just by sending Ar11 thats it?Did you did after you went for stamping or before ?

I will right my new address as the current address in the application form and hopefully they send the card to the new address rather than the old address.

I didn't change my residence for the last 2 years. When I changed ,I did send an AR-11 form, and I called the 1800 Number to update the address.

I don't forsee any problem in your case. I think you can inform about the address change before going for stamping. Even G.C holder has to do it.

Make sure that the INS Officer change the address in the approval letter.
