Hi folks,
My 485 was approved on this 17th. I have an upcoming trip to India on the 27th Dec (a week from now) which I cant postpone. I understand that I need to get the 551 stamp in my passort before I leave the country.
a) I am wondering if I can go to any other INS office closer to Boston (Manchester New Hampshire is 50 miles, and Portland Maine is 100 miles, away)
b) I am not sure I will get the notice by this Wednesday (friday is an INS holiday). Do I need to have the original approval notice? Has anyone used a print out from the USCIS site, instead?
