PP Stamping Experience at Newark

1) Parked the car in parking lot on Broad street just before Kinney st (E. Kinney st and W. Kinney st) signal to the left when coming from South.
2) Stood in line for security check around 9:25am and after that took the elevator to 3rd floor (the elevators that said it will only stop in 2nd floor and 9th floor and above stop at 3rd floor).
3) Then stood in line in 3rd floor and in one of the counters they took right hand index fingerprint and signature on both sides of I-551 and arranged the papers and stapled it and they gave a token number.
4) We waited for around 3 hours (from 10:15am to 12:50pm).
5) Our token number was called and we submitted the papers and we were asked to wait again.
6) Token number was called again (after background check or whatever) around 1:05pm and got PP stamped.

Went to SSA in 10th floor and applied for replacement SSN cards.

Went to Trenton and got driver's license with photo ID for my wife (She took non-photo ID last Nov 2003 when her Driver's license expired because EAD was only valid till 01/07/2004 at that point of time).

Congratulations!!!

More than the passport stamping, you got the four year NJ drivers license and dont have to worry about renewal.

At Central NJ, do we have to go to Trenton only to get the photo-id license or can go to any DMV nearby (Edison, East Brunswick, South Plainfield)? I noticed that everyone mentioned Trenton only. Any ideas?

Somehow, i always thought that I am following you for FP1/FP2 etc etc. But, I couldn't follow you for approval. I hope mine will come some day. So far, I am waiting for RFE.

I got my new SSN Card in a week, when I applied same day of my PP Stamping
Old SSNCard "Valid for Work only by INS Authorization"
With New SSN Card it has no such limitation

Good Idea to change Though , BUt not required

do not know what category of work should get authorization from INS? how about PHD(pizza hut deliver)? or opening a company? thanks

fira, you will get your approval soon. You were saying that your LUD changed and you are going to get RFE. What is that RFE about ?
