Hello members.,
Here iam giving my experience at federa plaza PP stamping.
AD 12/22/04
PP stamping done 1/4/05
1)Went to main gate of federal plaza around 10.30am
2)Guards(officers) inspected (approval notice & Infopass) in the queue.
3)Security check
4)Before Entered into 310 building in 3rd floor, Guards asked to me off the Cell phones.
5)In 310 build took token(very big queue), got 11.50 am
6)Entered into 300 building attached to 310 build(I guess samebuilding 2 seperations.
7)In 300 building(there are more counters) first I was waited for my chance. Immigration officer called my token number then entered into coutered.
8)At the counter, officer asked my approval notice, 2 pictures, passport, I 94, ead and the asked to site.
9)Another officer called my token number(some times callying by name) through another window(counter). Officer ready with stamped passport.
Officer said "congratulations ....) then said, "u can get card in 6 months to 1 year).
10) Came out the federal plaza around 3.30 pm.
my recommendations..
1)Better take Infopass appointment(I guess must)
2)First went to Worth street entrance. then sent me back to main gate.
3)open the approval notice from the cover.
4)they won't allow any drinks,food items in 310 and 300 buildings.
5)we have to wait 3 to 4 hours in this process.
6)If some body going from Grand central , better take 4,5,6 trains (downtown). came at (Brookly Bridge/city hall) stop. we can get the federal plaza build , I guess couple of blocks after we can get.
7) in the case of kids, they no need to stamp, welcome letter(approval letter)and card will come to our address directly.
good luck to all members.
thanks.,
